Health VisitorThe health visitor is qualified in nursing and midwifery and has also been specially trained to give health advice on matters relating to family and child health. She assesses children's development and also undertakes health promotion within the practice. The health visitor is available at the weekly baby clinic at the practice or can be contacted through your doctor or directly by telephone - (028) 9042 6881. District NursesThe district nursing team provide skilled nursing care in the patient's own home and advise carers. They assess needs, give information and counselling and carry out appropriate nursing care. The district nurses can be contacted through your doctor or directly by telephone - (028) 9042 6881. MidwifeThe midwife can help you with all aspects of care during your pregnancy and in the first 10 days following your baby's delivery, or longer if required. The midwife can be seen by appointment at the antenatal clinic held at the practice on Wednesdays or can be contacted through your doctor or directly by telephone - (028) 9042 6881. Arrangements can also be made through the practice to contact the following members of the Primary Care Team: Social Worker, Community Physiotherapist, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Speech and Language Therapist, Please ask at reception for details. |
